Basic GALILEO Searching
Online searching is a basic lesson that I teach. This module can be used for an asynchronous introduction to how to search in GALILEO. The objective is to create familiarity with the data.
This is created in SoftChalk and can be embedded in the LMS or used as a standalone link.

GALILEO (Not Google)
This video introduces learners to the tool that is a part of the research landscape in Georgia. This is embedded in learning about academic research (Basic GALILEO Searching) as well as independent viewing in LMS courses. This is one of the building blocks in understanding credible information.

Part 1 of 4 ENGL 1101 Research and Library Instruction
This is the first module in a four part series that covers all of the basics of research instruction. They are designed to be used at the appropriate time during a semester so that the just-in-time instruction assists students at the appropriate time during the semester. They can also be used in an asynchronous course.

Course redesign and OER
This project started out as redesign and update of an existing course. After analyzing the course, I recommended that we start completely over. However, because of staffing and workloads, the I conceded that we fix the major problems with the course. The SME and Associate Dean at the conclusion of our initial meeting want the course to be completely redone including restructured with OER used instead of a textbook.
Includes: Course standards, learning objectives, outline, storyboard, learning objects, open educational resources.

SIFT Your Way to Fact
This module was the first step of using the SIFT method to find credible information. This module used advanced design strategies using branching interactions and videos.
Includes: Analysis, storyboard, hover states, Rise 360.

How to use a life wheel
I am working with an executive coach to make some of the routine curriculum he uses into modules. This module is in the storyboard phase, and when completed will have video, audio, and. hover state components. The modules will be completed in Rise 360.

The Benefits of Getting out of the Classroom
Includes: Card sorting analysis, learning objectives, flipped classroom, cognitive load considerations, and modules.
Georgia Libraries Conference October 2021
Learn how a college library department revitalized their library instruction program. Over a three-year period, the staff created a dynamic, multi-faceted instruction program, including online library instruction, tailored lessons, hybrid teaching, and scaffolded visits. The ACRL Framework grounds this program, and the program has affected more than the classroom. Changes also include Library Guides, displays, faculty outreach, and other student interactions.
Presented by Shannon Gibson, Librarian; Leigh Hall, Director of Libraries; and Colin Eade, Librarian
